Wabash Valley Whitetail

About the Process..

Wabash Valley Whitetail (home of Mike's Magic) is an active whitetail deer farm in southwest Indiana. We maintain between 20 and 40 whitetail deer on this farm for the sole reason of providing quality whitetail urine products.

On our farm we have what we affectionately call "Pee Pens". These are stalls that the deer are led into to stay the night when urine collection is underway. The floors are completely cleaned before the animal is put inside. Food and water is made available to the animal during their overnight stay. In the floor is a drainage / collection system that feeds and directs the animal's urine, once they have urinated naturally on the floor, to a filtering and collection system. Each stall holds one animal and has its own collection point for that urine. This is what allows us to ensure that only the urine from a single animal goes into a bottle of Mikes Magic. The filtration system only eliminates any dirt or grass that the animal has tracked into the stall. The animal's feces do not make it into the drainage / collection system.

In the morning, the animals are turned out of the stalls and back into the high fenced habitat. The urine from each collection point is collected and poured into the bottles they will ship in.

As we always have a lot of pre-orders for our product, most of these bottles will be shipped that day to customers around the country. Any product that does not have an immediate buyer will be quickly frozen and sold in our new Frozen Product line.

To make Doe in Heat, certain does are artificially stimulated into heat so that they can be monitored and placed into Pee Pens as soon as they are in heat. These select does will cycle through the Pee Pens until their heat is over. During this time, the bucks are separated from the does in the habitat to prevent unwanted breeding. These bucks will go into rut shortly after sensing the does are in heat. At this time, the bucks are put into the stalls for urine collection.

This is why the Buck in Rut and the Doe in Heat products are only available from October through November and why demand outweighs supply. This makes pre-ordering these products so important.
